From Goals to Results: The Power of Aligned Actions

ACTIONS are the only things that produce results. Period.

If your goals are the destination, then actions are the vehicle that will get you there. To drive success, your actions need to align with your strategy and your goals. Think of them as intentional steps that begin with a clear verb and guide your daily efforts.

Example: ASK the BADAS Questions with 90% of all opportunities.

Just like your goals and strategies, your actions should be specific, clear, and measurable. Here’s how to make sure your actions set you up for success:

Action Plan: How Many?

1️⃣ Be Specific and Intentional
Your actions should clearly outline what you’ll do, when you’ll do it, and how often. For example:

  • MAKE 10 follow-up calls every morning by 10:00 AM.
  • SCHEDULE 2 client appointments weekly.

2️⃣ Consider Quantity and Quality
Think about your actions from two angles:

  • Quantity: How many actions will it take to hit your goal?
  • Quality: When and how well will you execute these actions?
Plan to perform these actions at the times of day when you’re most likely to achieve the desired outcome.

3️⃣ Overestimate Your Effort
You’ll likely need MORE actions than you initially think. Start by overestimating the number of actions required to reach your goal. It’s better to scale back than to fall short at the end of the period.

4️⃣ Make It Measurable
If your actions can’t be measured, they’re not clear enough. Avoid vague actions like “try harder” or “be better.” Instead, create measurable tasks that you can track and evaluate.

Turn Actions Into Results
The only way to make your goals a reality is by putting your plan into action. With each step aligned to your strategy, you’ll start to see your hard work pay off.
